Eckenbarger wins 141 title

THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel had four wrestlers place in their respective weight classes to lead the Green Terror to a fifth-place finish at the Centennial Conference championship.

THE LEADERS
Ryker Eckenbarger (Finksburg, Md./Westminster), the top seed at 141, opened his day with a pin in 2:00 over Ursinus' Brandon Miller. He then captured an 8-2 win over Gettysburg's Sean Thompson in the semifinals before running his winning streak to 17, earning his first conference title with a 12-2 win over Bryce Crew (Washington and Lee).

FOR THE FOES
• The Green Terror finished with 41 points.
• Washington and Lee won its first-ever team title with 75.5 points.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Nick Malinowski (Baltimore, Md./Boys' Latin School of Maryland) advanced to the finals at 125. He opened the day with a bye before earning a forfeit win in the semifinals. In the finals, Ursinus' Terry Adams captured a 13-5 win for the title and give Malinowski a runner-up finish.
• Alexander LaVeck (Marriottsville, Md./McDonogh) started the 157 bracket with an 11-9 win over Muhlenberg's Ronnie Grevera before capturing a 2-1 win over Ursinus' Jake Folk in the semifinals. In the title tilt, Washington and Lee's Ryan Luth notched a 15-2 major decision victory.
• Raymond Kable notched a 3-2 win over Johns Hopkins' Jared Osborne in the opening bout at 149. Austin Sherman (Muhlenberg) used a 10-4 win to relegate Kable to the consolation bracket. Kable claimed an 8-4 win over Eric Mougalian (Gettysburg) in the consolation semifinals before finishing with a 7-0 win over Steve Shields (Merchant Marine) to place third.
Michael Bromley (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) dropped his first match at 174 by a 10-7 decision to Joe Paul (Johns Hopkins) before topping Gettysburg's Mason Canonico, 13-3. Nick Konovalchik (Washington and Lee), however, posted a 9-4 win in the consolation semis.
