McDaniel sent one athlete to the NCAA Div. III men's outdoor track and field championship at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
THE LEADERS
• Billy Emerson (Germantown, Md./Watkins Mills) threw progressively further in each of his three throws during the first flight, finishing eighth in the flight with a throw of 15.03 meters (49-3 ¾) on his third and final throw. That mark ended up ranked 18th overall.
