Washington won both contested doubles matches by matching 8-0 scores to key a 7-2 victory over McDaniel.
THE LEADERS
• Akire Gaines (Ansonia, Conn./Ansonia) led the Green Terror with forfeit wins at third doubles and sixth singles. Mollie Riner (Hanover, Pa./South Western) joined her to take the point at third doubles.
FOR THE FOES
• Ella Samer led the Shorewomen, taking two wins without dropping a game. She and Alisha White won first doubles 8-0 before Samer won second singles, 6-0, 6-0.
• Cecilia Cress and Sarah Bruno both won twice without dropping a game. The duo combined for the win at No. 2 doubles before winning at third and fourth singles, respectively.
