Stambaugh finishes second in decathlon

THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel had a pair of individual finish the decathlon and place second and third at the Mount Multis.

THE LEADERS
Nevin Stambaugh (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) placed second in the decathlon with 4,603 points, which ranks 10th in program history. He hit the ECAC-qualifying mark in the long jump with a personal-best jump of 6.25 meters. He also had a Centennial Conference-qualifying time in the 100 (12.03 seconds). His top point totals came in those two events with 645 points in the dash and 641 points in the long jump. He also had a conference-qualifying time in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.86 seconds, which earned him 538 points.
• Alex West (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) finished third with 4,334 points. He hit conference qualifiers in the 100 (12.29 seconds) and long jump (5.54 meters). He racked up 595 points in the l00 and 516 points with a throw of 10.15 meters in the shot put.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Josh Sproul (Princess Anne, Md./Washington Academy) hit the CC standard in the 100 (11.96 seconds), long jump (5.59 meters) and high jump (1.85 meters). His high point total came in the high jump with 670 points. He also had 659 points in the 100.
