BALTIMORE, Md. – Billy Emerson (Germantown, Md./Watkins Mill) won the shot put to lead McDaniel to a fifth-place finish at the Hopkins Invitational in season-opening men's outdoor track and field action on Friday.

Scoring:

• The Green Terror finished fifth with 58 points. Johns Hopkins won the 15-team invitational with 188 points.
