WESTMINSTER, Md. – Washington (Md.) won four singles matches without dropping a game for a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.
Maddy Simmons (Bowie, Md./Bowie) led the Green Terror (1-9, 0-3 CC) at first singles. She dropped a 7-5 opening set to Julie Lazer before falling 6-1 in the second set.
Ella Samer led the Shorewomen (8-2, 3-0 CC) with two wins, not dropping a game. She and Riley Katzman won third doubles, 8-0. Samer then took No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
