HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford swept doubles play en route to a 5-0 win over McDaniel in the Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis opener for both teams on Saturday.

Maddy Simmons (Bowie, Md./Bowie) led the Green Terror (0-7, 0-1 CC) joining Lindsay Russell (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) to fall 8-2 at No. 1 doubles. Simmons' first singles match was left unfinished after it was decided to only play the match to conclusion on the indoor courts.

Greta Koch and Sam Berg led the Fords (5-1, 1-0 CC) with 6-0, 6-0 wins at second and third singles, respectively, to close out the 5-0 win.

McDaniel returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Tuesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
