COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie) finished second in the 60 to lead McDaniel at the 2017 Centennial Conference women's indoor track and field championship hosted by Ursinus on Saturday and Sunday.
Scoring:
- The Green Terror finished ninth with 20 points. Johns Hopkins won the team title at the 10-team championship with 180 points, defeating second-place Dickinson by 18 points.
Precious Medals: The following athletes earned a medal at the championship:
- Nicole Hill won the silver medal in the 60 meters with a time of 8.00 seconds. She qualified fifth in the prelims with a time of 8.09 seconds before improving both her time and place in the finals.
Making a Point: The following athletes earned points at the championship:
- Arielle Latourette (Easton, Pa./Easton Area): triple jump, finishing seventh with a jump of 10.16 meters (33-4).
- Shantae Byro (Baltimore, Md./Northwestern): triple jump, finishing eighth with a jump of 10.06 meters (33-1/4).
- Yusrah Adebayo (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch): 200, finishing eighth with a time of 27.56 seconds; 60 hurdles, finishing sixth in a time of 10.06 seconds. She qualified third with a time of 9.51 seconds in the prelims.
- The 4x200-meter relay of Shantae Byro, Yusrah Adebayo, Nicole Hill and Arielle Latourette finished sixth with a time of 1:50.55.
- The 4x400-meter relay of Yusrah Adebayo, Nicole Hill, Steph Becker (New Oxford, Pa./New Oxford) and Shantae Byro finished seventh with a time of 4:17.52.
A New Standard: The following athletes hit ECAC-qualifying marks at the meet:
- 4x200-meter relay: 1:50.55
- Nicole Hill, 60, 8.00 seconds

- Arielle Latourette now ranks fifth in the triple jump (10.16 meters)

- The 4x200-meter relay now ranks sixth all-time with its time of 1:50.55.
- Nicole Hill now ranks fourth in the 60 (8.00 seconds).
- The 4x400-meter relay now ranks sixth all-time with its time of 4:17.52.
