SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Swarthmore dropped just one game in doubles play en route to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.
Winsome Schauer (Hartford, Conn./Watkinson School) led the Green Terror (1-4, 0-1 CC), winning four games at No. 1 singles. She dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Julia Gokhberg.
Arya Jemel led the Garnet (3-3, 2-0 CC) winning twice without dropping a game. She teamed with Amanda Izes for an 8-0 win at second doubles before taking No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Maria Cuervo also won twice without losing a game, partnering with Alli Wong for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles then winning 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.
McDaniel returns to action at Gettysburg on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
