WASHINGTON, D.C. – McDaniel swept doubles en route to a 7-2 victory over Trinity (D.C.) in non-conference women's tennis action on Wednesday.

Winsome Schauer (Hartford, Conn./Watkinson School) led the Green Terror (1-3) with a pair of victories, including a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.

Gwynne Arias led the Tigers (0-4) with a 6-3, 6-2 win at seconds singles.

Schauer also teamed with Leesa Malczewski (Denton, Md./Chesapeake) for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles.

Angela Johnson (Lansdowne, Md./Lansdowne) and Laura Penhallegon (Glen Arm, Md./Loch Raven) partnered for an 8-6 victory at second doubles while Jessica Measimer (East Hampton, Conn./East Hampton) and Lindsay Russell (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) won 8-3 at third doubles.

Johnson added a 6-1, 6-3 victory at third singles while Russell won 6-0, 6-4 at sixth singles.

Penhallegon added an 8-0 win at fourth singles.

McDaniel returns to action at Swarthmore on Saturday. Match time is 3 p.m.
