WASHINGTON, D.C. – Catholic won all five contested singles matches in straight sets to defeat McDaniel 9-0 in non-conference women's tennis action on Thursday.

Maddy Simmons (Bowie, Md./Bowie) led the Green Terror (0-1), falling 6-3, 7-6 at No. 1 singles to Jenna Gietl. She also teamed with her sister Tori Simmons (Bowie, Md./Bowie) to fall 8-6 at Laura Tarsiello and Sarah MacLean at No. 1 doubles.

Faith Tamuleviz led the Cardinals (2-0) with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles.

McDaniel returns to action at ITA Small College Regionals hosted by Mary Washington on Saturday.
