LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall swept doubles play en route to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Tuesday.
Tori Simmons (Bowie, Md./Bowie) led the Green Terror (3-8, 0-5 CC), winning seven total games. She teamed with her sister Maddy Simmons (Bowie, Md./Bowie) to drop an 8-3 decision at first doubles to Claitlin Rummelsburg and Sara Haas before Rummelsburg topped Tori Simmons 6-2, 6-2 at second singles.
Tara Buchney and Emily Gruenberg led the Diplomats (7-3, 3-2 CC), posting 6-0, 6-0 wins in their singles matches after teaming for an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. Buckney won fourth singles while Gruenberg was victorious at sixth singles.
The Green Terror returns to action at Muhlenberg on Saturday. Match time is 12 p.m.
