CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington (Md.) swept doubles play en route to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Thursday.
Nicole Arnold (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) led the Green Terror (4-11, 1-8 CC) with a 6-1 victory in the second set of sixth singles. Emily Evans took the first set 6-3 before Arnold forced a super-tiebreak third set, which Evans won, 10-5.
Krista Filiopoulos led the Shorewomen (14-2, 0-1 CC) with a pair of wins, not dropping a game. She teamed with Julie Lazer to win second doubles 8-0 before taking a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles.
The Green Terror concludes the season at Ursinus on Saturday. Match time is 3 p.m.
