HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Edgewood swept doubles play to key a 7-2 win over McDaniel in non-conference women's tennis action on Monday.

Winsome Schauer (Hartford, Conn./Watkinson School) led the Green Terror (2-3) with a straight-set win at No. 3 singles. Schauer took the opening set 6-4 before notching a 7-6 win in the second set with a 9-7 tiebreak win.

Anna Miles led the Eagles (11-6) with a pair of wins, including a 6-4, 6-0 win at second singles. She also teamed with Morgan Wilson for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.

Nicole Arnold (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) added a win at sixth singles for McDaniel. After dropping the first set 6-2, she won the second set 6-3 to force a super-tiebreak third set. She prevailed in that set, 10-8.

The Green Terror returns to action against Shepherd on Wednesday. Match time is 11 a.m.
