SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Two days after setting a program record in the 1,000, Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) finished 10th in the 800 to lead McDaniel at the Susquehanna Invitational in women's indoor track and field action on Saturday.
Allen-Gorman turned in a time of a time of 2:25.24 to post her best time of the indoor season and hit one of five Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying marks for the Green Terror at the non-scoring meet.
Shantae Byro (Baltimore, Md./Northwestern) and Arielle Latourette (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) combined for the other four CC marks.
Byro hit the standard in the triple jump, finishing 31st with a jump of 9.60 meters and in the 60 with a time of 8.34 seconds to finish 21st.
Latourette was 31st in the long jump with a leap of 4.69 meters while also hitting the standard in the 60 with a time of 8/85 seconds to finish 50th.
The trio joined Claire Lawson (McMinnville, Ore./McMinnville) to place 15th in the 4x200-meter relay, combining for a time of 2:03.94.
Byro was also 46th in the 200 with a time of 29.23 seconds.
Avalon McOmber (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) led the distance corps, finishing 17th in the 3000 with a time of 11:30.64 while Kelsey Minyon (Millville, Del./Indian River) was 35th in the same event with a time of 12:21.19.
Amelia Lawrence (Cabin John, Md./Walt Whitman) finished 45th in the mile (6:08.56) while Emily Gross (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) was 59th in the 800 (2:41.99).
McDaniel returns to action at the CC Championship hosted by Haverford on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 28 and Mar. 1.
