Tim Stewart (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) paced the Green Terror (2-1) with 14 points while Cameron Royster (Derwood, Md./Magruder) added 10 points.
Dalton Myers led three players in double figures for the Spartans (4-0) with 12 points while Matt Scamuffo added 11 and Zack Galic chipped in 10.
A Stewart layup gave McDaniel a 5-2 lead with 16:14 to play in the first half before the teams traded baskets over the next two minutes.
Two Duane Echols (Jessup, Md./Hammond) free throws and one free throw from Christopher Cantine (Baltimore, Md./Randallstown) gave the Green Terror a 10-6 edge with 13:53 showing.
Brad Wesner canned a triple in the corner to even the game at 11-all with 11:56 remaining.
A Blayde Reich 3-pointer and Galic putback gave the hosts a 20-15 lead with 7:36 to play, sparking a 10-2 run.
Two Colin Bortner (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) makes from the charity stripe with 5:16 showing momentarily halted the run but the Spartans scored eight of the final 12 points in the half to take a 33-23 lead into the locker room.
Keyed by a Wes Brooks (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) 3-pointer, the Green Terror scored nine of the first 12 points in the second half to close to within 36-32 with 12:42 to play.
A Blayde layup 20 seconds later sparked a 9-0 counter that pushed the lead to 13 just three minutes later.
An Echols layup and two free throws from Royster closed the deficit to 45-36 with 7:17 to play.
Five points from Echols and two Stewart free throws helped trim the margin to 52-44 with 2:31 on the clock.
After two Scamuffo free throws, Brooks drained a triple to close the deficit to 54-47 just 32 seconds later.
A deep 3-pointer from Brooks made it a 57-52 game with 13.9 seconds left but a Scamuffo free throw with 11.6 second showing sealed the victory.
Brooks and Echols each finished with nine points and four steals. Brooks earned a spot on the all-tournament team for his play over the weekend.
The Green Terror opens the Centennial Conference schedule at home against Dickinson on Tuesday. Game time is 8 p.m.
