WASHINGTON, D.C. – McDaniel won both contested doubles matches en route to a 9-0 victory over Tirnity (D.C.) in non-conference women's tennis action on Thursday.

Elise O'Meara (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton) led the Green Terror (2-12) to its first win of the spring with a 2-0 day.

Yashaba Premysler led the Tigers (2-7), winning 10 games over her two matches.

O'Meara and Winsome Schauer (Hartford, Conn./Watkinson School) teamed for an 8-3 win at first doubles before O'Meara topped Premysler by a 7-5 margin in the first set at No. 1 singles. O'Meara closed out the straight-set win with a 6-2 victory.

Nicole Arnold (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and Angela Johnson (Lansdowne, Md.) also recorded 2-0 days.

The two teamed were awarded a default victory at third doubles. Arnold won her first set 6-3 at No. 3 singles before her opponents retired in the second set. Johnson rounded out a 2-0 day with a 6-0, 6-2 win at fourth singles.

Nina Breece (Petaluma, Calif./Petaluma) also won twice. She teamed with Laura Pollard (Federalsburg, Md./Colonel Richardson) for an 8-2 win at second doubles before winning by default at sixth singles.

Danielle Cloney (Severna Park, Md.) added a 6-2, 6-1 victory at second singles while Leesa Malczewski (Denton, Md./Chesapeake) won 6-0, 6-1 at fifth singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at Bryn Mawr on Saturday. Match time is 1 p.m.
