ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Chloe Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) got a head start on the women's indoor track and field season, competing at the Navy Lid-Lifter on Tuesday.

The sophomore, coming off the Green Terror soccer field, finished eighth in the 1,000-meter run.

Her time of 3:11.97 won the first of two heats and ranks her fourth on the program's all-time list.

McDaniel opens the season as a team at the Bucknell Opener on Saturday.
