FAIRFAX, Va. – The 4x800-meter relay finished seventh
overall, recording an ECAC-qualifying time to lead McDaniel at the
Patriot Games hosted by George Mason in women's indoor track and
field action on Saturday.
Chloe
Allen-Gorman (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) and Becky
Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick) comprised half of the relay,
turning in their second top-10 mark on the all-time performer list
to lead the Green Terror at the non-scoring meet.
Allen-Gorman and Kaler ran the first two legs, joining Claire
Lawson (McMinnville, Ore./McMinnville) and Jasmine
McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) to run a time of
10:11.16, which is the fourth-fastest time in program history.
Kaler was also 22nd in the 3,000 meters, bettering her personal
best by 14 seconds with a time of 10:53.60 to become just the sixth
female in program history to break 11 minutes.
Allen-Gorman was 16th in the 1,000, finishing in a time of
3:14.86 to rank fourth on the all-time list.
Lawson also competed in the 200, finishing 57th with a time of
29.83 seconds.
Jasmine
Scott (Derwood, Md./Bullis) and Laura
Shinn (Weehawken, N.J./Pennington Prep) rounded out competitors
on the day for McDaniel.
Scott recorded a pair of Centennial Conference-qualifying
times, finishing 11th in the 60 with a time of 8.40 and 43rd in the
200 with a time of 28.25.
Shinn was 42nd in the 3,000 with a time of 12:34.10.
The Green Terror returns to action at the Sweetheart Multimix
hosted by Navy on Thursday, Feb. 7.
