WESTMINSTER, Md. – Goucher capped a 9-0 non-conference women's tennis win over McDaniel with straight-set victories in each of the singles matches on Thursday.

Kiersten Patron (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) led the Green Terror (3-5), teaming with Lauren Lewis (Annapolis, Md./Annapolis) to take four games at second doubles before winning seven games at third singles.

Addie Maxwell led the Gophers (6-4) with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles after partnering with Vickey Casey to win No. 3 doubles, 8-1.

Elise O'Meara (Bowie, Md./Elizabeth Seton) joined Patron as McDaniel players to win games in both sets of singles play, falling to Casey 6-2, 6-2 at sixth singles.

Mara Bergman and Ariel Lin rounded out doubles play with an 8-2 win in the No. 1 slot.

Lee and Lin matched 6-1, 6-0 victories at first and second singles, respectively.

Bergman won third singles over Patron, 6-2, 7-5.

Walsh rounded out the Goucher wins with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at fourth singles.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Haverford on Saturday. Match time is 12 p.m.
