CARLISLE, Pa. – Jasmine Scott (Derwood, Md./Bullis) recorded the top individual finish, leading McDaniel to a 10th-place finish at the DuCharme Invitational hosted by Dickinson in women's indoor track and field action on Saturday.
The Green Terror amassed 30 points at the 15-team invitational. The host Red Devils won the meet with 149 points.
Scott placed third in the 300 meters with a time of 44.68 seconds to lead the way on the track. She was also fifth in the 200 (27.53) and the finals of the 55 (7.56 seconds), improving from a seventh-place time of 7.76 in the prelims.
Katie Corson (Ocean View, N.J./Ocean City) led the way in the field events, placing fourth in the long jump with a leap of 4.77 meters to hit one of nine Centennial Conference (CC) qualifying standards on the day. Her jump ranks fifth on the Green Terror's all-time performer list.
Corson also joined Becky Kaler (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick), Missy Black (Atglen, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and Laura Shinn (Weehawken, N.J./Pennington Prep) in the 4x800-meter relay, which finished third in a time of 10:44.75.
Kaler added a sixth-place showing in the mile with a CC-qualifying time of 5:36.30.
Black and Shinn finished 17th (5:58.27) and 24th (6:07.93), respectively, in the same event.
Corson was tied for 11th in the high jump (1.35 meters) and 18th in the 55 hurdles (10.97 seconds) to round out her day with two more conference qualifiers.
Jasmine McCormick (Antioch, Calif./Holy Name) added three qualifiers of her own, finishing seventhin in the high jump (1.40 meters), 16th in the 55 hurdles (10.78 seconds) and 18th in the long jump (4.21 meters).
The Green Terror returns to action at the Sweetheart Multimix hosted by Navyn on Thursday. Action begins at 4 p.m.
