Mules notch fourth 9-0 conference win

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Sara Sutker recorded a 2-0 day to lead Muhlenberg to a 9-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.

The Mules (7-3, 5-2 CC) dropped just four games in the seven contested matches to record their fourth conference win by a 9-0 score.

Carissa Grove (Boonsboro, Md./St. Maria Goretti) paced the Green Terror (1-11, 0-6 CC), winning three of the team's four games.

Sutker and Caitie Druker took an 8-1 decision over Grove and Brittany Starlings (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) at first doubles while Danielle Winston and Lindsay Schmidt were 8-0 winners at No. 2.

Emily Szulman topped Grove 6-1, 6-1 at third singles.

Sutker capped her 2-0 day with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Johns Hopkins on Wednesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
