Bryn Mawr defeats McDaniel

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Zoe Odenwalder won twice to lead Bryn Mawr to an 8-1 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Sunday.

Devan Hamric (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) led the Green Terror (1-13, 0-8 CC) with a 6-0, 6-3 win at second singles.

The Owls (4-16, 1-7 CC) swept through doubles play before taking five of the six singles for their first conference win of the season.

Odenwalder teamed with Catherine Austin for an 8-4 win at second doubles before taking a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fifth singles.

Eliza Perocchi rounded out double winners, taking a third-set tiebreaker 10-5 at first singles after parterning with Vivian Chen for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

Perocchi won the first set of her singles match 6-4 before Brittany Starlings (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) forced the deciding set with a 6-1 win.

The Green Terror returns to action at Washington (Md.) on Thursday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
