Haverford sweeps McDaniel

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Kattie Wettick won a pair of matches without dropping a game to lead Haverford to a 9-0 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.

The Fords (8-1, 2-1 CC) swept play, dropping just two games in the seven contested matches.

Carissa Grove (Boonsboro, Md./St. Maria Goretti) led the Green Terror (1-8, 0-2 CC), winning a pair of games in the first set of her No. 3 singles match.

Wettick teamed with Alex Ferrara for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles before winning No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Helen Fisun was also a double winner, earning a default win at third doubles before winning second singles, 6-0, 6-0.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Dickinson on Tuesday. Match time is 4 p.m.
