Bears wins all six singles in straight sets
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Jenna Hope capped a
two-win day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles to lead Ursinus to
a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's
tennis action on Friday.
The Bears (7-10, 3-7 CC) took all three doubles matches before
sweeping singles in straight sets that included a win by retirement
at No. 5.
Hope teamed with Julia Kurtz for an 8-1 win at
No. 1 doubles before her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
The Green Terror (2-12, 0-9 CC) concludes the season at home
against Washington (Md.) on Monday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
