Fords do not drop a game in singles
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Katie Drooyan won her
third singles match 6-0, 6-0 and did not lose a game in two wins to
lead Haverford to a 9-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference
(CC) women's tennis action on Saturday.
The Fords (8-5, 7-1 CC) did not drop a game in six singles
matches and only dropped two games in three doubles matches.
Drooyan teamed with Katie Wettick for an 8-0
win at first doubles.
Helen Fisun (No. 2) notched the only other 6-0,
6-0 win in singles. The other four matches were taken 8-0 because
the match had been decided.
The Green Terror (2-11, 0-8 CC) returns to action at home
against Washington (Md.) on Wednesday. Match time is 3:30 p.m.
