McDaniel closes indoor season at CC Championship
HAVERFORD, Pa. - Kelsey Dickman (Bel Air, Md./Bel
Air) earned a bronze medal, finishing third in the shot
put with a toss of 11.62 meters to lead McDaniel at the 2010
Centennial Conference women's indoor track and field championship
hosted by Haverford on Saturday.
The Green Terror finished ninth in the 10-team field with 11
points. Haverford won the team title with 148 points while Johns
Hopkins was second with 113.5 points.
Heidi Davidhizar (Westminster, Md./South Range
(Ohio)) added a sixth-place showing in the 55 hurdles,
turning in a time of 9.58 seconds in the finals.
The distance medley relay of Emily Peoples (Wilmington,
Del./Brandywine), Hilary Hanus (Hockessin,
Del./Cab Calloway School of the Arts), Emma
Nichols (Myersville, Md./Middletown) and Emily
Hajjar (Frederick, Md./Urbana) teamed for an eighth-place
finish with a time of 14:15.76.
Katie Corson (Ocean View, N.J./Ocean City)
joined Nichols, Davidhizar and Hanus on the 4x400-meter relay,
which also finished eighth (4:27.22).
Roxanne Fleischer (Westminster, Md./Winters
Mill) finished 11th in the mile (5:30.86).
