Green Terror falls 6-3 to open fall
WESTMINSTER, Md. - Kasia Zak notched a pair of
wins, including by a 6-0, 6-0 score at No. 6 singles to lead
Catholic to a 6-3 win over McDaniel in non-conference women's
tennis action on Sunday.
The Cardinals (3-1) took two of the three doubles matches and
four of the six singles matches en route to the victory.
Jamie Latham (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley)
recorded a pair of victories to pace the Green Terror (0-1) in its
first match of the fall. Latham notched a 6-4, 6-2 win at fifth
singles after teaming with Sara Yost (Westminster,
Md./Francis Scott Key) for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles.
Kristina Shavirov notched the other win for
McDaniel, tallying a 6-3, 6-2 win at fourth singles.
The Green Terror returns to action at Goucher on Oct. 6. Match
time is 3 p.m.
