SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Lindsay Wilson (Catsonville,
Md./Seton Keough) finished fifth in the mile with a
program-record time of 5:18.53 to lead McDaniel at the Susquehanna
Invitational in men's and women's indoor track and
field action on Saturday.
Wilson broke the previous mark by five seconds in her first attempt
at the distance.
The 4x800-meter relay added a fifth-place finish in a time of
10:34.69 while the 4x800-meter relay was eighth with a time of
4:26.95.
Emma Nichols (Myersville, Md./Middletown) was
17th in 400 with a time of 1:06.72 while Erin
Balsamo (Baltimore, Md./Western Tech) placed
23rd in the 55 hurdles with a time of 10.77.
Rachel Griffith (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) added a
16th-place showing in the 5,000 with a time of
22:21.46.
On the men's side, Kevin Bowman (Frederick,
Md./Brunswick) led the way with a sixth-place finish in
the mile with a time of 4:33.32.
Juris Eyler (Middletown, Md./Middletown) placed
eighth in the 200 with a time of 23.64 to go with a
19th-place showing in the 400 (54.19) and
26th-place finish in the 55 (6.96).
The 4x800-meter relay team finished sixth (8:30.36) while the 4x400
relay was 3:40.61.
McDaniel returns to action at the Navy Classic on
Thursday.
