SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Lindsay Wilson (Catsonville,
Md./Seton Keough) won the 3,000 to lead McDaniel at the
Susquehanna Open in men's and women's indoor track and
field action on Saturday.
In the Green Terror's final tune-up before the Centennial
Conference (CC) championship next weekend, Wilson clocked a time of
10:43.36 to pace the 21-member field.
Rob Kelvey (Westminster, Md./Westminster) led the
men with a second-place finish in the same event, finishing as the
first collegiate runner with a time of 9:02.46.
The men's distance medley relay finished second with a
combined time of 10:34.55, setting a program record. The group
of C.J. Naper (New Windsor, Md./South
Carroll), Juris Eyler (Middletown,
Md./Middletown), Cody Crutchley (Frederick,
Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) and Kevin Bowman
(Westminster, Md./Brunswick) broke the old mark by
more than six seconds with the fastest time in the CC this
season. The 4x800-meter relay was fifth with a time of
8:22.75 – the Green Terror's best time of the
season.
Kristin Duling (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll)
added a fifth-place showing in the 400 with a time of 1:02.63 while
Heidi Davidhizar placed 10th in the 55
hurdles (9.53 seconds).
The 4x800-meter relay finished sixth with a time of
10:58.75
McDaniel returns to action at the CC Championships hosted by
Ursinus on Saturday and Sunday.
