SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Kevin Bowman (Frederick,
Md./Brunswick) recorded a pair of top-10 finishes to lead
McDaniel at the Orange and Maroon Classic hosted by Susquehanna in
men's and women's indoor track and field action on
Saturday.
Bowman was fourth in the mile with a time of 4:30.64 and a ninth in
the 800 with a time of 2:05.55 to lead the men while
Lindsay Wilson (Catonsville, Md./Seton Keough)
also added a pair of top-10 showings, finishing fifth in the 5,000
(18:57.69) and sixth in the 800 (2:34.21) to pace the
women.
For the men, Rob Kelvey (Westminster,
Md./Westminster) added a fifth-place finish in the 5,000
with a time of 16:02.20 while Juris Eyler (Middletown,
Md./Middletown) was fifth in the 400 with a time of 53.17.
Eyler was also 13th in the 200 (24.01).
On the women's side, Kristin Duling (Hampstead,
Md./North Carroll) finished seventh in both the 200
(28.24) and 400 (1:05.38) while Emily Peoples (Wilmington,
Del./Brandywine) crossed sixth in the 5,000 in a time of
19:22.33. Peoples was also 18th in the 800
(2:43.63)
Kacey Decker (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) led the
Green Terror in the field events with a ninth-place finish in the
high jump (1.42 meters) and 13th-place showing in the
triple jump (9.58).
McDaniel returns to action at the Princeton Relays on
Saturday.
