BALTIMORE, Md. - Johns Hopkins scored two second-half goals to break open a one-goal game in a 3-0 victory over the McDaniel College women's soccer team Wednesday at Homewood Field.
The match-up featured two of the top four teams in the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) Region V rankings as the Green Terror (4-2-2, 1-1 CC) are ranked fourth and the Blue Jays are third.

Alaina Miller was stopped in transition in a one-on-one with Hopkins keeper Ella Kruntchev in the 53rd minute before her shot in th 55th minute from the right side of the box went just wide of the far post.
The Blue Jays (5-1-2, 1-1 CC) scored what proved to be the game-winning goal when Addi Dauler scored her second goal of the season off a double assist in the 22nd minute.
That was the only goal on 10 first-half shots for Hopkins as sophomore
Sierra Ruehl recorded five of her eight saves in the first 45 minutes.
The Green Terror put together their most concentrated attacking sequence of the game over a five-minute span in the second half, generating three shots and a corner kick.
Hopkins finished with a 21-6 advantage in shots and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks as it posted its fourth-straight shutout over McDaniel at home.
The Green Terror look for their first road win in five tries this season on Saturday when they travel to Ursinus for a 3 p.m. kickoff with the Bears.
