WESTMINSTER, Md. - Junior
Lauren Green scored her first goal of the season as the McDaniel College women's soccer team posted a 2-0 Centennial Conference victory over Bryn Mawr Saturday at the Soccer Complex.
The Green Terror (4-1-2, 1-0 CC) improved to 3-0 at home this season and are now unbeaten in 43 of their last 52 home games since 2021, posting a 35-9-8 record.
It was also the 60th shutout in the last 106 games for McDaniel since 2021, improving the team's record to 60-26-20 during that time.
All three home wins have come by shutout for the Green Terror who outshot the Owls, 23-0, and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.
McDaniel scored the only goal it would need just 58 seconds into the contest when senior
Carly Brock scored her second goal in the last three games off an assist from sophomore
Alaina Miller.
The team's top two scorers this season, Brock and Miller have combined for seven goals, five assists, and 19 points through seven games. MIller has scored at least one point in five games.
Green netted her first goal of the season and third of her career in the 29th minute off assist from sophomore
Katie Pena-Bandalo and sophomore
Angelina Rocha. It was the first goal for Green since Oct. 19, 2024 against Haverford and the first career point for Rocha in 15 games.
The Green Terror led 2-0 at halftime and could not add another despite out-shooting Bryn Mawr (1-5, 0-1 CC) in the second half 14-0 while holding a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.
McDaniel has not allowed a goal in its last four home games dating back to a 1-0 win over Gettysburg in its final home game last season on Oct. 29, 2025.
Sophomore
Sierra Ruehl picked up her third shutout in seven starts this season. The Green Terror defense has allowed their opponent seven shots or less in four out of seven games this season.
McDaniel will face its second nationally-ranked opponent in the last three games on Wednesday when it travels to No. 17 Johns Hopkins. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. from Homewood Field.
