BALTIMORE, Md. - Junior Charley Noah totaled two goals and one assist to lead the McDaniel College field hockey team to its first win of the season on Friday, 4-1 on the road at Goucher on Beldon Field.

The Green Terror (1-3) improved their record to 5-0 against the Gophers all-time in the first meeting between the two teams since Sept. 2, 2003.

It was also the first career win for head coach Blaine Donnelly who came to the Hill after six seasons of experience as an assistant coach, including the previous four at Washington and Lee.

With a career-high five points, Noah picked up her first points of the season and totaled her second career multi-goal game. Her first multi-goal game came on Sept. 2, 2025 when she scored both goals in a 2-1 road win at Hood.

Noah led the team with seven goals and 14 points last season en route to earning All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention honors and now has 11 goals and 24 points in 31 career games.

McDaniel scored the game's first goal less than five minutes into the contest when sophomore Caydence Stone scored her first goal of the season and third of her career. It was the lone goal of the first half as the visitors maintained its 1-0 lead into halftime.

Goucher (0-3) would tie the game less than four minutes into the second half when Vivian Onunga scored following a save by senior Lora Scarangello. The game remained tied at 1-1 entering the fourth quarter.

The Green Terror struck three times in the final quarter with Noah involved in all three. She scored what proved to be the game-winning goal just 1:01 into the quarter following a penalty corner.

Noah assisted on the first career goal by first-year Lola Minor with just over five minutes remaining before netting her second goal of the game on a penalty stroke with 1:22 to play.

McDaniel outshot the Gophers 21-7, including 8-1 in the fourth quarter. Scarangello finished with four saves to earn her first win in goal.

The Green Terror return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 16 when they travel to Bridgewater (Va.) for a 7 p.m. contest with the Eagles.
