WESTMINSTER, Md. - Randolph-Macon scored two third-quarter goals en route to a 2-1 victory over the McDaniel College field hockey team on Tuesday at Gill Stadium in the season-opener for both teams.

Lora Scarangello stopped all five Randolph-Macon shots on goal in the second quarter and finished the first half with eight saves as the Green Terror led 1-0 at halftime.
However, the Yellow Jackets scored on two of their three shots on goal in third to erase their deficit and take a 2-1 lead after three.
McDaniel outshot the visitors 5-1 in the fourth, but Valentina Ambrogi-Torres turned away all three on goal to preserve the one-goal victory for Randolph-Macon.
Scarangello finished with eight saves while sophomore
Grace Legacy had one defensive save in the third quarter.
The Green Terror continue their three-game home stand to open the 2026 season on Friday when they host Susquehanna at 3 p.m. prior to the football team's season opener at 7:30 p.m.
