WESTMINSTER, Md. - Bailey Neff Neff scored her first goal of the season just 40 seconds into overtime to lift Susquehanna to a 2-1 victory over the McDaniel College field hockey team on Friday afternoon inside Gill Stadium.
The Green Terror (0-2) scored the game's first goal for the second-straight contest, but fell in their first overtime contest since Oct. 22, 2025. The team has played five overtime contests in the last two seasons.
It was also the seventh game decided by one goal for McDaniel in the last 19.

Samira Morgan scored her first goal of the season and second of her career with 27 seconds remaining in the first quarter off an assist from first-year
Lola Minor. It was the first career point for Minor. First-year players have accounted for three of the team's six points this season.
The River Hawks (1-1), who were outshot 10-3 in the first quarter, got the equalizer midway through the second quarter to tie the game at 1-1 at halftime.
Susquehanna registered the only shot of the third quarter and neither team could find the game-winner despite five shots in the fourth as the game headed to overtime.
On the first possession of 7-on-7, Neff quickly dribbled her way around the Green Terror defense and scored on the first shot of the extra frame to give the River Hawks their first win of the season.

Lora Scarangello had three saves for McDaniel while Taytum Lombardi needed just one to pick up her first win for the visitors.
McDaniel outshot Susquehanna 12-11 while the River Hawks held a 6-3 edge in penalty corners.
The Green Terror continue their three-game home stand to open the 2026 season on Wednesday, Sept. 9 when they host No. 17 Stevenson at 6 p.m.
