WESTMINSTER, MD – The women's outdoor track & field team competed at home for the Carpenter-Case Invitational.
Junior Michaela Carney won the pole vault with a mark of 3.35m. Junior Sophia Leone placed second with a jump of 3.20m. Sophomore Tara Hornung placed fourth with a jump of 3.20m. Senior Allie Rolek jumped 2.75m to place fifth. First year Allison Kapustka jumped 2.60m to place sixth. Senior Summer James placed seventh with a mark of 2.45m.
Leone won the 100 meters with a time of 12.84. Carney followed with a time of 13.24 in third. Graduate student Taylor Pinthiere ran 14.46 to place fifth.
Sophomore Gabby DeMarco won the long jump with a mark of 5.02m. Senior Anna Rando jumped 4.66m to place seventh. Pinthiere placed tenth with a jump of 4.17m. Senior Elyssa Greene jumped 4.10m to place 11th. Greene also placed fifth in triple jump with a mark of 9.14m.
Junior Maya Colavito won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:44.86.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Leone, Rando, Carney, and Rolek won with a time of 51.34. Rando also placed third in the 200 meter with a time of 27.22.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Senior Anna Kale, senior Piper Nagaraj, first year Gianna Corrieri, and senior Arianna Lowengrub ran 4:53.37 to win.
Senior Jess Pronchick placed second in shot put with a throw of 10.57m. Sophomore De'Ashia Davis placed eighth with a mark of 8.51m. Senior Kate Principio placed 11th with a mark of 8.02m.
Principio placed fourth in hammer with a throw of 35.63m. Pronchick threw 33.25m to place sixth. Senior Ameerah Johnson placed tenth with a throw of 25.79m.
Pronchick placed fifth in discus with a throw of 30.07m. Principio placed ninth with a throw of 26.58m. Davis threw 24.94m to place 12th. Johnson followed with a mark of 23.74m in 13th.
Nagaraj ran 2:35.46 in the 800 meters to place second. Kale ran 2:37.22 to place third. Corrieri ran 2:40.53 to place sixth. Sophomore Riley Friedman ran 2:53.67 in seventh. Lowengrub followed in eighth with a time of 2:55.25.
First year Sophie Tressler placed second in the 5000 meters with a time of 24:29.33.
First year Isabel Meadows-Soto ran 5:22.80 in the 1500 meters to place third.
Before the meet, nine seniors in the track & field team were honored: Greene, James, Johnson, Kale, Lowengrub, Nagaraj, Principio, Rando, and Rolek.
McDaniel returns to action next Friday, May 1 at the 2026 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Gettysburg.
