CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Junior
DJ Stolba hit the first two home runs of his career and totaled three RBIs as the McDaniel College baseball team fell to Washington College 11-10 on Tuesday.
The Green Terror (18-7, 1-2) hit four homers in the loss, giving the team 18 home runs in the last seven games combined. The team's 20 homers are good for third best in the Centennial Conference this season.

Shane Daly led off the game with a solo homer in the first inning. A sacrifice fly from sophomore
Thomas Mezzullo and an RBI-double from sophomore
Anthony Cerone capped off a three-run first inning for the Green Terror.
The Shoremen (14-10, 2-1) responded with a seven-run frame in the bottom of the first. A two-run homer in the second grew the Washington College lead to 9-3 after two.
McDaniel answered with four-run fourth to cut the deficit to two. Stolba hit his first career home run down the left field line to score sophomore
Cameron Simon and make the score 9-5; Daly followed with his second solo shot of the day and eighth of the season. Mezzullo added another sacrifice fly to make the score 9-7.
After the Shoremen added another run in the fourth on an RBI-single, Stolba homered for the second time with a solo shot in the fifth and senior
Ben Davis scored on an RBI-ground out from Cerone in the sixth to draw within one, 10-9.
Washington College added an insurance run in the sixth on an error, and an RBI-single from junior
Shea McKenna again cut the deficit to one but the Shoremen held on late for the 11-10 win.
Stolba and Daly each hit two home runs in the loss; Daly finished 3-for-6 with three runs scored and two RBIs while Stolba went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs. McKenna had three base hits and an RBI while Mezzullo added two RBIs.
Senior
Tyson Nercessian took the loss on the bump, totaling three walks, four earned runs and seven hits. Sophomore
Maximus Mullins pitched four innings in relief, striking out one and allowing six hits.
The Green Terror conclude a home-and-home with the Shoremen on Friday at Preston Field. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm.
