Shane Daly hit a grand slam in the eighth inning for his third home run in two days as the McDaniel College baseball team won its 11
th straight game with a 14-4 win over Lancaster Bible on Wednesday.
The Green Terror (17-5) have scored 60 runs over their last four games, averaging 15 runs per game. The team has hit 10 home runs during this stretch, hitting multiple homers in three of the last four games.
The Chargers (7-8) opened the scoring in the first inning on an RBI-single, growing the lead to 3-0 in the third on a two-run single. Sophomore
Anthony Cerone got the Green Terror on the board in the fourth inning with a two-run single to drive in sophomore

Shea McKenna. Mezzullo's RBI-single tied the game at 3-3 in the fifth, scoring senior

A three-run sixth inning gave the Green Terror a lead they would never relinquish, as Daly put McDaniel ahead on a sacrifice fly to score junior
Ethan Haddock. Davis drove in a two-run single to score senior

Sophomore
Cameron Simon launched his first home run of the season in the seventh inning on a two-run blast to make the score 8-3. Lancaster Bible added a run in the eighth on a bases-loaded walk but the Green Terror answered with a six-run eighth to seal the win. Mezzullo drilled an RBI-triple into right field to score McKenna and Cerone drove in Mezzullo with an RBI-single. Daly then belted a game-ending grand slam to cement the 14-4 win.
Daly finished with a team-high five RBIs on two hits in five at-bats while Cerone collected three hits and three RBIs with two runs scored. Mezzullo had a three hit day at the plate to increase his team-best batting average to .467 while Simon had two RBIs in four plate appearances.

Austin Sealing picked up his second win of the season in relief, racking up a career-high five strikeouts while allowing only one walk and two hits in 3.1 innings of work. First-year

Jake Young picked up his first save of the year.
McDaniel travels to Haverford on Saturday to open Centennial Conference play against the rival Fords. First pitch is scheduled for 12 pm.
