WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Senior
Charlie Dolan shot a 1-over par 73 to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team in the first round of The Ruckus at Williamsburg National Golf Club on Saturday.
The Green Terror totaled a 300 as a team and currently sit in third place following the first round. Salisbury holds the first round lead after a 289, three strokes ahead of second-place Drew who totaled a 292.
The individual leader board features a four-way tie for first at 2-under. Two players are tied for fifth after carding an even par 72.
Led by Dolan, all four scorers for McDaniel shot a 76 or better. Dolan had two birdies and 13 pars, shooting a 1-under par on the back nine with eight pars and a birdie on the par-4, 354-yard 15th hole.
Sophomore
Braden Paris is tied for 15th after turning in a 3-over par 75 after recording a team-best three birdies, including two on the back nine, and nine pars.
Senior
Ethan Crabb and first-year
Dylan Muso each carded a 4-over par 76 and are tied for 18th. Crabb was 4-over par on the front nine, but rebounded with an even par 36 on the back nine. Muso was 1-over par through 12 holes, but was 3-over on the final six.
Senior
Sean Kelly currently sits in a tie for 27th after a six-over par 78.
Second round competition gets underway on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m.
