LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior Ethan Bush set the program record in the 600 meters to highlight competition for the McDaniel College men's track & field team at the Mini Dip Invitational hosted by Franklin & Marshall on Saturday.
Bush finished third in a record time of 1:23.80, beating the previous record of 1:25.66 set by Nick Razze at the same event in 2023. Bush's time is currently ranked 64th in Division III. First-year Isaac Greeson posted a time of 1:29.90 to place 13th.
Junior Roman Arensmeyer ran 9.08 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to place fifth. His time moves him to 10th in program history.
Senior Keiron Wilson placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.76 meters while senior Christian Homer placed 13th with a mark of 11.38 meters.
Homer placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.11 meters, junior Braylon Johnson jumped 5.75 meters to place 13th and Wilson jumped 5.75 meters to place 15th.
Graduate student John Geniti placed 10th in the pole vault with a mark of 3.65 meters.
First-year Caleb Andoh ran 24.18 seconds in the 200 meters to place 28th. Sophomore Robert Wood placed 45th in 25.37 seconds and first-year Kyan Hayes ran 26.27 seconds to place 49th.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Bush, Johnson, Greeson, and Junior Abhishek Mudireddy placed eighth with a time of 3:40.40.
Wood ran 7.44 seconds in the 60-meter to place 22nd while Andoh ran 7.46 seconds to place 25th, and Arensmeyer ran 7.80 seconds to place 40th.
Senior AJ Iglesias placed 26th in the weight throw with a mark of 11.38 meters. Junior Jacob Gibson threw 11.13 meters to place 30th and junior Jamey Travers placed 32nd with a mark of 10.71 meters.
Mudireddy placed 29th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:13.46 and senior Simon Greenberg placed 40th in 2:31.49.
First-year Sam Favazza ran 5:03.46 in the mile to place 30th while junior Fabrizzio Verano Valderrama ran 5:32.78 to place 40th. Junior Benjamin Bouselli placed 41st in 5:37.44.
Senior Armani Moya-Moore placed 32nd in the 400 meters with a time of 58.11 seconds and junior Zac Kane placed 32nd in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:50.53.
Gibson placed 39th in the shot put with a mark of 9.95 meters and sophomore Darnell Gilliam placed 41st with a mark of 9.80 meters.
McDaniel will return to action at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Susquehanna next Saturday, February 14.
