Gabe Wallman made 11 saves, but the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team fell to Randolph-Macon in the team's home opener on Wednesday at Gill Stadium, 17-1.
The Green Terror (1-1) dropped their fourth-straight meeting with the Yellow Jackets, who were receiving votes in Monday's USILA Division III Coaches Poll. It was the first time in the last four meetings that the game was decided by more than five goals.

Wallman totaled 11 saves on 43 shots faced while adding two ground balls and one caused turnover.
McDaniel limited the visitors to just two goals on 13 shots in the first quarter after holding them to just five shots on goal.
Randolph-Macon (3-0), who advanced to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship game in 2024, scored seven goals in a decisive second quarter, winning six out of seven face-offs and scoring the first of two extra-man goals.
Leading 9-0 at the half, the Yellow Jackets added three more goals in the third and the first four in the fourth before Stanton put the Green Terror on the board with an unassisted tally with 4:20 remaining.
A total of 12 players scored a goal for the Yellow Jackets while 14 had at least one point. Eight players had at least one caused turnover as they forced 23 McDaniel turnovers.
The Green Terror begin a two-game road trip on Saturday when they make the short trip to Goucher to face the Gophers. McDaniel is 7-0 on the road in the series. Face-off is set for 1 p.m.
