CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Junior
Charley Noah scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season as the McDaniel College field hockey team fell to Washington College on Wednesday at Roy Kirby Jr Stadium, 6-1.
The Green Terror (3-7, 0-3 CC) totaled 14 saves led by 10 from junior
Teaghen Rieder, three from senior
Lora Scarangello, and a defensive save from junior
Anna Buyse.
Scarangello made her eighth start of the season and her first in the last three games due to injury while Rieder played the tinal 39 minutes.
The Shorewomen (3-8, 1-3 CC) held a slim 1-0 lead after one before scoring two goals in the second and three in the third. Washington led 6-0 after holding a 20-4 advantage in shots and an 8-1 margin in penalty corners.
McDaniel scored the only goal in the fourth when Noah converted her fourth penalty stroke goal of the season with just over six minutes remaining. She is now 4-for-5 on penalty stroke attempts this season.
Noah now has six goals this season, one shy of her career high set a year ago, and 15 in 37 career games.
The Green Terror travel to Bryn Mawr on Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest with the Owls.
