CARLISLE, Pa. - Sophomores
JT Krynock and
Sam Telljohann highlighted the performance for the McDaniel College men's golf team in the opening round of the Dickinson Fall Invitational Sunday at Carlisle Barracks Golf Course.
The B team for the Green Terror currently sit in 13th place following a first-round 308. Centennial Conference rival Franklin & Marshall leads the 36-hole event after a 13-under par 275. The Diplomats are 14 strokes ahead of second-place Susquehanna and host Dickinson.
Franklin & Marshall's Max Silverman and Pablo Rodriguez are tied for the individual lead after each turned in a 5-under par 67. A total of 14 players shot under par Sunday while another seven shot par.
Krynock tied his career low round with a five-over par 77, equaling the mark he turned in twice last season, including in the Dickinson Fall Invitational on Sept. 23, 2024.
Telljohann shot an 81 with a 2-under par 34 on the front nine, including an eagle on the par-4, 392-yard seventh hole. He finished with four birdies and one eagle.
Sophomore
Jack Manfre led McDaniel with a four-over par 76 and sits in an eight-way tie for 50th. First-year
Lyle Petersen made his collegiate debut with a five-over par 77, joining Krynock in an eight-way tie for 58th.
Sophomore
Braden Paris turned in a 78 and finds himself in a seven-way tie for 66th.
McDaniel wraps up competition at the Dickinson Fall Invitational on Monday.
