UPPERCO, Md. - Senior
Abby Wesche finished 14th to lead McDaniel College women's golf to a sixth-place team finish in the Stevenson Fall Invitational Monday at Piney Branch Golf Club.
The Green Terror finished sixth with a 423. Catholic won the team title with a 325, 18 strokes ahead of Drew and Stevenson who tied for second with a 343.
Catholic's Brooke Smith took home low medalist honors with a 6-over par 77, three shots better than Drew's Josephine Nguyen.
Wesche finished with a season-low 89, totaling six pars and a birdie on the par-4, 332-yard 15th, shaving five strokes off her total on the front nine.
Sophomore
Emily Landau placed 24th with a 106, first-year
Molly Weaver was 26th with a 112, and senior
Callie Nelson was 28th with a 116. First-year
Maggie Johnson rounded out the five for McDaniel with a 35th place finish and a 145.
The Green Terror travel to Carlisle, Pa. on Saturday for the Dickinson Fall Invitational at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course. Tee time is at 11 a.m.
