WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Led by three players in the top 10, the McDaniel College men's golf team holds the lead after the first round of the Northeast Elite hosted by Penn State Altoona and Penn College at Williamsport Country Club.

The Green Terror totaled a 1-under par 283 in Sunday's opening round and are seven strokes ahead of Rochester who had a 290. The Centennial Conference had four of the top five scores in the first round as Gettysburg was third with a 291 followed by Dickinson (293) and Swarthmore (297).

Rochester's Alvin Stu holds a one-shot lead over senior Ethan Crabb after 18 holes. Stu carded a 4-under par 67 while Crabb shot a career-low 68 to sit one stroke behind. Dickinson's Collin McMahon-Shea turned in a 2-under par 69 while McDaniel first-year Dylan Muso carded a career-best 70 to place fourth at 1-under par.

Crabb totaled seven birdies and seven pars, including four birdies and four pars on the back nine for 3-under par 32.

Muso had nine pars and five birdies. He birdied three of the last four holes on the front nine to card a 1-under par 35.

Senior Charlie Dolan was the third Green Terror to find himself in the top 10 after the first round as he is in a seven-way tie for eighth after a 1-over par 72. He totaled 10 pars and four birdies, including three in-a-row on the final three holes after he was at 4-over through 15.

Senior Sean Kelly, who earned Centennial Conference Athlete of the Week honors a week ago, currently sits in 15th after an opening round 73. He was 3-under at the turn after carding three birdies and six pars on the front nine.

First-year Jack Manfre is 29th after a 4-over par 75 in the opening round that saw him card 12 pars and two birdies.

The final round of the Northeast Elite begins at 9 a.m. on Monday with the first McDaniel tee time set for 12:45 p.m.
