LEWISBURG, Pa. - Seniors
Sean Kelly and
Charlie Dolan each posted a top-10 finish to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team to a fourth-place team finish at The Gauntlet Monday at Bucknell Golf Club.
The Green Terror shot a season-low 283 in Monday's final round to finish with a 582. Host Drew took home the team title with two-day 572, followed by Farmingdale State (577) and Franklin & Marshall (580).
McDaniel had the best team score on Monday, finishing 3-over par, two strokes ahead of Drew and three in front of Farmingdale State.
Kelly carded a 1-over par 71 to finish fourth with a total of 140 for 36 holes after a career-best 1-under par 69 on Sunday. It was his second top-5 finish in as many events this season after he placed fifth at the Transy Fall Invite. He finished Monday's round with nine pars and five birdies.
Dolan also recorded his second top-5 finish in two events this season as he placed sixth with a 2-over par 142. He finished second at the Transy Fall Invite. On Monday, he totaled a season-best 3-under par 67 with 10 pars and six birdies. He was one shot off his career low of 66 set in the final round of the Transy Fall Invite on Sept. 4, 2022.
Senior
Ethan Crabb finished 18th with an 8-over par 148. He carded a final round 75 with 13 pars.
Sophomore
Jack Manfre finished 29th with a total of 152 for 36 holes. He improved eight shots in Monday's second round with a 2-over par 72 which included three birdies on the front nine.
Freshman
Lyle Petersen placed 69th with an 82 for the second-straight day.
McDaniel returns to action next week in the Northeast Elite hosted by Penn State Altoona at Williamsport Country Club.
