Abigayle Bowley totaled 15 kills and two block assists in a 3-1 win over Brooklyn College for the McDaniel College volleyball team who split a tri-match with St. Joseph's Brooklyn Saturday.
The Green Terror (5-5) picked up their second win in as many years over the Bulldogs after facing off last season in Winchester, Va.

Kailey Young led the way with 15 kills in a five-set loss for McDaniel against St. Joseph's Brooklyn to open the tri-match.

After falling in set one 25-19, the Green Terror took the second set 25-16 in a wire-to-wire win, never having trailed in the set. McDaniel scored the final four points of the set and clinched the win on a service ace from junior
Abigail May.
McDaniel jumped out to a 13-4 lead to start set three, but St Joseph's fought back and eventually closed the gap to one late in the set, 24-23. A kill from first year
Kaitlyn Saidat gave the Green Terror a two-point win and a 2-1 lead in the match.
With set four tied 23-23, back-to-back Bear points gave St. Joseph's a win and sent the match to a decisive fifth set. The Bears jumped out to an 11-1 run in the fifth, closing out the match with a 15-4 win.
Young and Bowley combined for 28 kills while Buttons and Saidat combined for 18 in the loss. Sophomore

Samantha Fadel had 25 digs playing in her hometown.
McDaniel 3, Brooklyn College 1
The Green Terror surged to a 5-0 lead to start set one, but the Bulldogs mounted a comeback midway through the set to make the score 10-9. Kills from Buttons, Carson and Saidat resulted in three straight McDaniel points to slow the Bulldog run. With the score sitting at 18-15, the Green Terror rattled off a 7-1 run to close out the opener with a 25-16 win.
A late push propelled the Bulldogs to victory in set two, winning 25-21 and evening the match at one set apiece. After falling behind early in set three, McDaniel rallied with four straight points to take an 11-10 lead. Three straight Brooklyn College points gave way to another four-point run for the visitors, and the teams traded points until a 9-2 run put McDaniel in control. The Bulldogs took four out of five points late but the Green Terror closed it out and won 25-20.
A 7-1 run by the Green Terror to start the fourth set became a 17-10 lead, but Brooklyn College scored five straight to draw within two. A 5-0 run for McDaniel grew the lead back to seven, but the Bulldogs answered and scored seven straight to tie the set, 22-22. Kills from Buttons and May gave the Green Terror a close 25-23 win to take the match in four.
Bowley and Carson combined for 28 kills in the match while Comstock and sophomore
Cassy Poteet combined for 45 digs. Fadel's five service aces led the Green Terror in the winning effort.
The Green Terror hit the road again to face Marymount (VA) on Wednesday at 6 pm.
