HARRISBURG, Pa. - Senior
Sarah Hurley scored her first career goal in the 57th minute to lead the McDaniel College women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Penn State Harrisburg Wednesday.
The Green Terror (3-2-2), ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches Region V rankings, remained undefeated in three road games this season while posting their third win in three career meetings against the Nittany Lions.
Hurley, who entered the game with four career assists, scored her first goal in 38 career games. She had a hand in both goals Wednesday night, assisting on the first career goal by first-year
Chloe Workman less than seven minutes into the game.
Workman and Hurley were the sixth and seventh different goal scorers for McDaniel this season. Workman was also the 11th different Green Terror to record a point this season, including the fifth first-year.
McDaniel made the most of its opportunities, scoring twice on three shots on goal. Meanwhile, the defense, highlighted by five second-half saves from first-year
Sierra Ruehl, kept Penn State Harrisburg at bay, turning away nine of its 10 shots on goal.

Grace Duffey also contributed two team saves in the second half as the Green Terror turned away all seven Nittany Lion shots on goal.
McDaniel opens Centennial Conference play on Saturday when it heads to Bryn Mawr for a 3 p.m. kickoff against the Owls.
