WESTMINSTER, Md. – Junior
Reese Beck finished with a career-high nine service aces to lead the McDaniel College volleyball team to a three-set sweep over Wilson on Tuesday from the Gill Center.
Beck surpassed her former career-high of six aces, set last weekend in the McDaniel Invitational on Sept. 13 vs. Penn College.
The Green Terror (4-4) fell behind 13-8 in the opening set to the Phoenix (0-8) before rattling off 10 consecutive points to take the lead, five of those points coming via ace from Beck. McDaniel closed the set on a 7-2 run with kills from first year

Abigail May to win the opener 25-16.
Set two saw McDaniel leap out to a 9-2 lead. After Wilson fought back to make the score 10-6, the Green Terror embarked on a 7-0 run to grow the lead to 17-6. Junior
Abigayle Bowley and sophomore
Stephanie Buttons each earned kills during the run to pad McDaniel's lead. Wilson scored three straight points to cut the deficit to eight, but the Green Terror responded by closing the set on a 7-1 run to win 25-11.
Set three saw both teams trading barbs with McDaniel holding on to a slim three-point led late in the set. Wilson overcame a five-point deficit with a late rally that knotted the set at 24-24. A kill from sophomore
Kaylee Comstock and an attack error gave McDaniel the final two-point margin for victory, escaping with a 26-24 win to complete the sweep.
Junior
Kailey Young led the Green Terror with 10 kills and three block assists while Saidat and Bowley had seven and six respectively. Comstock led the team in assists and digs while Beck finished the day with career-high nice service aces.
McDaniel travels to New York next weekend to participate in a tri-match with Brooklyn College and St. Joseph's Brooklyn. Start times are 12 pm and 2 pm.
